I use to be the same for a long time thinking that learning was the key to my success as a programmer.

Turns out I was wrong. Programming is about solving problems so all that knowledge you obtain just goes to waste if you don’t apply it.

You are absolutely right in your article. Learning should be taken with the approach that I have X problem I need to solve so I’ll go learn Y not I should learn Y so one day I might be able to solve X.

A lot of articles on medium teach that the best way to learn something is through applying what you’ve done and struggling whilst doing it.
